Dean's extensive hotel career, spanning over 20 years in senior roles, has taken him from London to Hong Kong and Singapore. After a successful stint with the Mandarin Oriental Group, he joined Swire Hotels in 2008. His adaptability quickly became apparent, starting as General Manager of The Upper House, then expanding his reach as Area Director of Operations across Hong Kong and China. By 2017, Dean elevated his role to Group Director of Operations, overseeing the group's expansion from Hong Kong and the PRC to Miami, and in 2020 took on the role of Managing Director.

Since 1991, Toby has been a versatile member of the Swire family, undertaking various roles across the globe – from Papua New Guinea to Hong Kong, via Vietnam, Australia, Turkey, Sri Lanka, France, and Singapore. His journey included key general management positions at Cathay Pacific Airways, focusing on customer experience, product development, and sales and distribution. In July 2017, Toby joined Swire Hotels as Managing Director, and now as Deputy Chairman, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and fostering the brand's growth and evolution.

DARLENA ZHAI

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

SWIRE HOTELS

Over the last 15 years, Darlena has been involved in over 300 hotel and resort projects across Asia, the Pacific Islands, the Caribbean, and Africa. She has extensive experience in hotel and resort development, destination tourism planning, management contract negotiations, and asset management. Prior to joining Swire Hotels, she spent 11 years with Horwath HTL and holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management from Cornell University.
